KSO Site Updates
We’ve made a few updates to the KingstonSprings.org website.
The biggest change is the addition of the image and video galleries. I think that KSO is the first news site in Cheatham County to offer streaming video. A Java-capable browser is required to view the video. We’ve got a short one minute clip online as a proof-of-concept. The quickest way to get to the galleries from the main page is the camera icon in the upper right corner of this page.
Reader comments on news articles are also now available without a user account. An account is still needed to post comments, but don’t worry. Accounts are free.
We are also linking to another local weather site on our weather page. There is a Road Weather Information System (RWIS) station on the westbound exit ramp. It’s in the fenced-in enclosure. The RWIS page displays air and ground conditions. Ever wonder how hot the road is?
We’ve also made a few performance enhancements to help with page generation. Our traffic has been increasing at a brisk rate lately, and it is rather encouraging to see double digit growth. I’d like to thank our readers that have started using KingstonSprings.org to publish their news for the community.
I hope you like the new additions. If you have any feedback about the site, just let us know.
