Did you receive your Dickson Gas bill yet? If so, did you notice the blurb on the bill about some bill changes being announced on the next bill? Well, get ready to make TWO payments to Dickson Gas during the month of September. Come to find out, our bill due date for our area will be changed so that our bill for the Kingston Springs area will be due on the 25th of the month…no longer on the 5th of the month. So, for September, when the changes take effect, we will have to pay on the 5th and the 25th of September. And if you’re anything like us, and you pay your bills at one sitting, one time a month…that will no longer be possible with Dickson Gas. I called and had a long conversation with the gas company about the announced changes. More than likely, our meters won’t even be read by the beginning of the month. So, we’ll actually have to set aside money until we get that one bill. From now on, we’ll have to all pay our gas bill on the 25th of the month. What I don’t understand is that our water and electric bills are both due at around the same time of the month. So, why not make the gas bill due at the same time? I sure hope that Dickson Gas updates it’s billing policy to make more sense. Otherwise, they sure are going to be “forced” to accrue many late fees.
