E Cheatham Students Heading South?

East Cheatham County was reportedly identified as a “High Priority” by the Tennessee Department of Education. To quote our board of education, this status reportedly means that:
“students did not meet state and federal goals in 3rd and 4th grade, Reading/Language Arts, in the economically disadvantaged sub-group.”
This means that East Cheatham students now have the option of transferring to other Cheatham County Schools. And the county will have to foot the bill for transportation costs.
In addition, here is the slated agenda for the upcoming August 2nd School Board Meeting. Schools fees are listed, as well as staff changes, and a proposed trip to Boston for HMS students.
