The Cheatham County Board of Education is reporting that for the first time, 8th grade students will now have to pre-register for high school classes through Pearson Power School:

“HELP for Parents of Eighth Grade students Pre-Registering for next year’s high school classes

posted 2/18/11 – For the first time high school students are pre-registering online through Pearson Power School. Parents and students will receive detailed instructions next week and many can pre-register from home.
The middle schools will be open THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 24, from 6-8 p.m. for parents who do not have internet access or who need technical help.

Cheatham Middle  6-8 p.m. – Sycamore Middle  6-8 p.m. – Harpeth Middle  6-8 p.m.”

Update, 2/24: The Ashland City Times is reporting that tonight’s at school high school registration has been postponed due to concerns about the weather.
