According to our high school student, a same aged student from HHS reportedly threatened to bring a gun to school yesterday and harm other students in the school.  HHS Principal Allen Collins was reportedly notified, and took very quick action regarding the situation.  He reportedly immediately informed police authorities and the student is no longer in attendance at the high school.  In addition, our local law enforcement authorities were present at school today in order to provide further support to the students and faculty at Harpeth High.  Thanks go out to Principal Collins and the quick thinking staff for handling the situation so quickly and efficiently.  The safety and security of our children and staff at our schools clearly is a top priority at Harpeth High School, and I’m personally very grateful to folks there for keeping our local high school safe.
