County Budget News

The County Commission met on Monday evening, and among the topics covered were:
- More arguing between School Board Chairperson Dianne Proffitt and the county commission over a lack of line items in the school’s budget for next year,
- Any approval of next year’s school budget has been postponed until at least July 16th,
- New county attorney, Alan Johnson, was introduced by County Mayor McCullough, and
- Outgoing Economic and Community Development Director, James Fenton, was recognized for his service to the county.
