Stan Curtis Selected as Director of Schools
The CCBOE has selected Stan Curtis as the next Cheatham County Director of Schools. He is currently serving as the transportation and maintenance supervisor. Curtis will be offered a one year contract, but his title will not include “Interim”. The Board will start the process of hiring a permanent director after the Aug 2nd election. Three seats (including our zone) are up for at vote at that time.

I am not sure that this is a good hire. He was fired from his last directors job in Marshall County, and they were dealing with legal issues that stemmed from his time as director for over a year after he was fired. With all the the controversy in Cheatham Co. I think this is a mistake. Citizens need to remember that it does not have to be this way.
