County Designated as on Drought Fast Track
The United States Department of Agriculture has designated Cheatham County as one of several in the US that is on a “Drought Fast-Track.” This reportedly means that farmers and ranchers will be able to access “faster and more flexible assistance” from the federal government in times of a drought, which we’re currently under. The US Department of Agriculture lists Cheatham County as under a “Contiguous Drought Fast-Track.”
