The Tennessean had a short article on the current drought conditions in our area.  They report that our drought conditions have been upgraded from “moderate” to “severe.”  Our drought conditions are predicted to intensify over the summer, culminating in possible water restrictions.

The last time we had water restrictions imposed was in 2010.  If we are placed under water restrictions again, we’ll post that information here.

Update, 7/6, 5:20PM:  The TN Department of Environment and Conservation is urging all TN residents to voluntarily adopt water conservation due to the drought.  As of today, our local Second South Cheatham Utility District notes that there are no water restrictions at this time.  However, we are being asked, state-wide, to begin water conservation.  Here are some water conservation tips from National Geographic.
