The Ashland City Times reports that the following matters were discussed at the latest Kingston Springs City Commission Meeting:
- The town is looking into an ordinance to restrict animals and livestock in our town. For example, if a resident wanted to have a horse remain on their property, that resident would need to have at least four acres in order to do so. These animal restrictions reportedly will not apply to ownership of either dogs or cats.
- In order to rent the new community facility at LL Burns Park, the renter would need to purchase liability insurance as well.
- Mayor McLeroy asked that our town consider spraying for mosquitoes in order to combat the West Nile Virus’ spread.
- The condemnation and demolition of properties on Brookside and Hillcrest Streets has been given the go ahead to commence.
