September Unemployment Rate Drops to 6.7% Locally

Cheatham County saw a drop in the number of unemployed, as did most of the state of Tennessee for the month of September 2012. Last month, our county’s unemployment rate was 7.8%, and September saw that rate drop to 6.7%. The State of Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development reports that every county in TN saw a drop in unemployment rates, with only one county (if I’m reading this report correctly, it’s Monroe County) reporting an increased unemployment rate.
