You literally couldn't even walk through our yard, because all of these shells that the cicadas shed were scattered everywhere. And the smell was terrible. Needless to say/write, cicadas took on a whole new meaning for me. And now we've allegedly again cycled into another cicada breeding season, where we could see [and smell] these creatures again. I actually drove by that school on Friday, as we were out in the Cool Springs area taking advantage of the tax free holiday. The high school is just lovely. It's a practically brand new school. And yet when they were letting students out of the school, there was a pretty high police presence there. We are not mentioned as a county with a known gang presence.
